Since Paul seems to be hanging his future on a Securitized token offering (ElioCoin)...here’s more clarification on that subject...

And I quote from my research...

Equity tokens are a subcategory of security tokens that represent ownership of an asset, such as debt or company stock.

By employing blockchain technology and smart contracts, a startup could forgo a traditional initial public offering (IPO) and instead issue shares and voting rights over the blockchain.

Many people believe that equity tokens will eventually become the predominant type of STO token. However, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has indicated that equity tokens are subject to federal securities regulations, which are still being finalized.

Few startups are equipped with the resources to issue equity tokens that comply with all applicable regulations. Consequently, investors should not contribute to an equity token STO without obtaining guidance from a legal professional who specializes in federal securities law.

It will be interesting to see if there’s any investor interest in ElioCoin...assuming it meets SEC guidelines...

The Reg A+ IPO stock offering...the hundred million NASDAQ IPO...and now ElioCoin...a lot of facts and figures to digest... LOL

I wonder if you purchase the equity token STO if its "given" back to Elio upon delivery of your vehicle. Like a stock for vehicle trade.
Sounds like a fair deal. When they build the vehicle it becomes an asset, so they would be trading one asset for another.

The hope seems to be that the proposed ElioCoin would have liquidity on the tZERO crypto currency trading platform that Byrne is trying to launch...

The ElioCoin would not be directly redeemable with Elio Motors... but would have to be processed through a trading platform...much like a share of stock can be converted to cash for a fee...

tZERO hopes to collect fees brokering the ElioCoin transactions...it’s not all that different from stock brokerage firms...

The ElioCoin is still very much an unknown at this point...limited transparency...

A lot of us a hoping that it's the plan. We don't know for sure as ElioWallStreet said.

It's implied so far that the coin is like stock but you exchange voting power for owning assets, which makes it much unlike a stock. So it's like, but unlike at the same time.

I am up against a subject about which, other than how the tech works, I know nothing about. Elio is flying in skies I don't have a map for.

The obvious weakness in this plan is that I don't think more than a few hundred people in the world understand what it is.
I'm sure Paul Elio and the others are kicking themselves for not grabbing a few thousand bitcoins ten years or whatever ago.

It's only a weakness if they fail to execute the plan properly. We are way too early to know. In two months if they still haven't explained it then the weakness is real.

Receiving SEC approval to issue an STO (ElioCoin) will be a long drawn out process at best... it’s a much more complex offering then Elio’s recent NASDAQ IPO attempt...

I’m not so sure there’s much of a finalized plan yet...STO’s are very controversial at best...the jury is still out whether there’s any investor appetite for ElioCoin...when...and if...it’s ever issued...

I've been watching the alt-money movement since it popped out Bitcoins ten years or so back. I understand how the tech works. But once it enters this space my mind breaks. Damned few people get it, and some of those are plain ideologues and I discount their notions. But I know some people are confident in the newer ways of pulling off these new monies, and I do hope that Elio has it figured out. I am full of hope.

Warren Buffet gets it and describes this type of currency as " Rat Poison " squared.
