Yeah, since they have been so tight-lipped about everything, there is no telling what is going on.
But from the sounds of Chip the other day, something good is going on, in a big way.
But no one is saying a thing, and in a way, it's good, but then again, who knows.
But it seems better; not depressing, just sort of upbeat.
I don't know why, but just have this feeling that something good is happening, that we'll all learn about.
Don't know what, but it's good.
I agree. The atmosphere feels good. I hope it comes out that it's really good news.

Paul said they'd have some news "In the next couple of weeks." That should be soon hopefully.

I'd like to see the new map of retail centers. Plus, Elio really needs to do an ad campaign with Pep Boys. There's no reason to not have Elio posters and a Kiosk at every Pep Boys where people can learn about the car. It cheap advertising.

Well it is still a year away, and people have short memories.
So all in good time; I'm sure we'll see something as the date for release draws closer.

I do agree with the map for Pep Boys, that will be a step forward.

If anything, contact EM and sound it off them.

All I'm hoping for is an announcement that they've secured enough Funding to begin manufacturing the final prototypes in Shreveport using the equipment and the assembly line there that will be used on the first production vehicles. THAT would be big. Anything short of that would be same old - same old.

Plans for the funding of actual production would be nice, but not necessary if the above is accomplished.

Even better would be to tell Shreveport and Louisiana to shove it and move the manufacturing to TEXAS which has a far better climate for start-ups.

Here again, good idea, but without telling them (or making a suggestion) it falls on deaf ears here; you have to contact EM and suggest it to them.
That's where it may do some good (or not) no telling what their response would be.

I know what I want. But I suspect my individual desire is relatively unimportant. They would probably want the same thing if they don't have funding to actually start production.

It's always worth a shot, you never know what their answer will be unless you ask.
It sounded ok, so why not ask them?

They should be using the production line. That's what they will need to do initially to figure out the bugs in that system so they can fix it before they do round two with the 150 or so batch that follows. It doesn't have to be fast just one station at a time. Preferably with the engineers building the cars as that definitely speeds up the whole timeline as opposed to just having generic workers doing it.
