(Skip to the end to ruin the surprise. I was surprised, LOL)

Yesterday I was delivered a mysterious yellow padded envelope on our doorstep, inside was a car key and fob. The fob had an Elio logo on the backside??? What??? I asked my wife if she had heard anything from Elio and she said "Is that the funky 3 wheeled car you like?". Very confusing.

Since I cannot see the driveway from our front door I stepped outside and what do I see? A marshmallow white Elio!!! WHAT??? I figure it had to be the E1A sent to Continental. Since I am no one of particular importance in the automotive or finance field, I figure Elio is sending the E series to forum members to drive for a bit and get the buzz going? Works for me!!!

I am overcome with joy. I have not been this excited to drive since I first set butt in my Miata, pure smiles. I stuff my poor father-in-law in the back (who fit surprisingly well) and we go for a drive.

While the acceleration is not fast by any means, the gearing in first and second are short enough to make it feel peppy. Very similar to how my Veloster felt. While not a drag strip queen to 60 MPH, 0 - 30 felt responsive enough to make around town jaunts no problem. And MAN, does it handle well. Traction control must not be enabled yet since I can slide it around pretty good in a parking lot. Fine by me, more fun to be had!

From being used to changing lane positions with motorcycles it took only a minute to get used to driving in the middle of the lane, there was not a lot of conscious decision needed. What was really odd was talking to the passenger right behind me. I am used to the person in the back seat being diagonally across, so if need be you could turn your head and see them. I would consider putting in a small monitor and camera so you could see the passenger if you intend to talk to them a lot. Or just not carry passengers, LOL.

Day turned to night and the one improvement I could see making was something that was discussed here was running lights on the fenders. I would say something small on the outside of the fenders. At first I did not think they were necessary, but after getting in some seat time it did feel like a small but important improvement.

Then out of no where, a dog starts licking my face. Is my dog Kawaii in the Elio too? No, she is on the bed and needs to go potty outside. Yeah, I was asleep and it was a dream :(

Seriously, I had a damn dream about driving the Elio. And it was AWESOME!

I bet the reason it was white in the dream was because of the color discussion we were having here on the forum about white cars. Apparently my subconscious wants an Elio more that I thought.

After going back to sleep I had an oddball dream of searching a shopping mall that was hidden in the middle of our old neighborhood for a blue Elio, so apparently I had Elio on the brain last night!

White shows an unwillingness to commit. Only color less committed is clear....

Ohhh clear, yes! I love the look of just metal, like the Delorean! One of the reasons why I want a stainless steel look wrap on my Elio. The last bike I built I wire brushed the frame and cleared over it. Absolutely LOVED the look.

I head a dream my Jeep Wrangler had 2 sticks to control it (like a bulldozer) or just a handlebar like a bike (as some of them electric cars do). I remember thinking "I didn't realize this till now, but its cool".

Glad I'm not the only one with crazy dreams of this sort.
