"J- Jumper Cables- If you ever need to use your jumper cables in your Elio, the battery is located under the rear seat."

So they've moved the battery. Interesting.
I recall the Tour Team mentioning at the last NAIAS that they attended in Detroit (January 2017 maybe) that they were considering relocating the battery to the rear. But I was under the impression it would be stowed below the deck of the trunk, concealed by a trap door of sorts. If it will instead be mounted below the rear seat cushion, my first thought is: how do they manage that without infringing on the fuel tank? There hasn't been any mention of reduced fuel capacity.

But yeah, the battery getting repositioned to the rear was in the works at the same time the exhaust shroud was announced to be vanishing thanks to the switch to the unibody construction. I recall the fuel filler repositioning being part of the mix around that same time, switching from the right/passenger side to the left/driver side.

Not news per se, but we've certainly gone quite a while without any mention of these planned/announced modifications to the E1c.

Come to think of it, I remember feeling instant jubilation about the prospects of a factory turbo option when I heard that they were looking to free up space in the engine compartment by relocating the battery.

But looking back with what we know now, I wonder if the decision to swap powerplants altogether had been made years ago, hence the battery repositioning. Certainly causes you to scratch your forehead...

But as for me I want to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas.

Thanks for reaching out - at the moment, we have streamlined our communications to once a week!

I know this but, your company once wrote that it needed all hands on deck for fund raising and that it would only be a few weeks until it returned. I being an investor and an All In since 2014 is very concerning.

Thanks - no need for concern. We didn't say that it would only be a few weeks, but that one communication a week is best for now. Please stay tuned!

Best,
The Elio Team

My reply,

This is from Coss with Elio Owners in which he phoned your office.

Yes, that's the word, no more Momentum for a few weeks, I talked to the Elio Team today and this is what I was told. The blog will still be posted every Friday, but the Wednesday Momentum is going to take a break for a few weeks. Sorry, I asked them how long, and couldn't get an answer; they are in fund raising mode, and just don't have the time at the present.

But if there is any breaking news, we will know about it as soon as they can tell us.

Sorry folks, but Wednesday Momentums are on hold for a while, trust me I begged and pleated but couldn't get them to change their minds. Now I was told this would only be for a few weeks, so if you want it back sooner, we'll all have to ask Nicely!!!

Hello,
For all intents and purposes we are at one blog a week for the foreseeable future. Nothing nefarious in the change, simply consolidating the messaging into once a week. It may or not come back, we have not made that decision yet.

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays.

Make sure to check out our blog at www.eliomotors.com/blog

Thank you,
The Elio Team
