USES FOR CLAY
Clay is not a cure-all or a replacement for polishing. It's a tool for quickly and easily removing surface contamination.
One of the many reasons for using a clay bar is the removal of brake dust. Brake dust contamination, which attaches to painted rear bumpers and adjoining surfaces, is a metallic surface contaminant that can be removed safely and effectively by using clay.
Pinnacle offers the most gentle detailing clay available on the market today. Pinnacle Ultra Poly Clay removes light to moderate contamination with very little effort. Its very low abrasive content reduce the chances of scuffing even the softest paint finishes. Customers report using this car clay as often as monthly with fantastic results.
Clay is also very effective on paint over-spray. If the over-spray is particularly heavy, you may want to seek the assistance of a professional. Tree sap and tar specks can also be safely removed with a clay bar. A heavier grade clay bar, like Four Star Ultimate Detailing Clay, may be more suitable for heavy overspray.
Recently, I have also started using clay on my windows (exterior) to remove heavy road film, bug deposits and water spots. It works very well, and seems to outperform even the best window cleaners.
HOW DOES DETAILING CLAY WORK?
Clay removes above-surface bonded contamination through the mechanical action of the clay bar rubbing against the vehicle surface. Detailing clay abrades the contamination, wearing it down in some cases, as a result of this mechanical action. However, detailing clay is not abrasive to the paint. The use of an approved clay lubricant prevents marring of the paint. The removed contamination sticks to the clay and is removed from the paint.

The high price reflects a bed and meals and a shower facility and an in room WC. You should try the train some time. If you drive on the "public roads" you are using a facility provided by government. Get a life, get over it already.

Thanks for the explanation. :-) Z

I'm selling temporary bras for the trip. Don't forget to clay your car as soon as you get it home.
I'll buy one of your temporary bras.
After riding/towing to the bike Rally in Panama City, several times, both on the Harley (no windshield) and Sorento, thru the 'Love Bugs'. The front of both and me, looked like a 'Gut Factory' and they were hard as 'Hell' to get off. It was a bitch to clean up the Dyna, (Dyna's don't have fairing), after something like that. If the 'Bugs', would only realize it would be a lot Safer to 'Just Get a Room' for their love making. I guess if they did that we would have a lot more LBs. After I got the bike cleaned up, I looked at the Kia, a week later baking in the Ga. sun, Dam whata mess, I was to the point of considering 'Sand Blasting', to get the bugs off, then after a hard rain they were about gone.

Another serious thought comes to mind, Armadillo, I don't think 5.75" ground clearance will let us pass over one of them. What would be the results of hitting a 'Dilla', at 50-70 mph, go airborne, a sure roll over?? I surely don't want to 'Test' the roll cage on the way home from La. I would much rather get my Elio and me home safely.

Mabe I should rent a Box trailer, hook it to a friends big ass Chevy truck, pay the gas, accommodations, food, etc, and go get it.

But NO!!!!, I'll ride a 250K 'Big Dog' out to LA. and ride my 6800$ Elio back to West Georgia.
I like 'Living On The Edge', Love Bugs nor Armadillo will not stop me from doing that.
