...there are things we take for granted that will need to change.

-A third ramp for a trailer

-Front Wheel Alignment on a three wheeled vehicle. (They will need to determine Centerline)

-Drive through food windows /toll booths/parking garage machines, etc...(can't reach)

...wonder what else might be "weird".

Park your Elio and walk in. The exercise will be good for all of us!

When I drive up to the $ machine at my bank in my SUV, the SUV is up so high I have to lean way out of the window (blood rushing to my head) or pull up a little and open the door and walk back to use it. I have done both. That may sound a little crazy but non the less. Now for me, the Elio will be better because of the wheels being out past the body. You are all ready far enough away from the machine to open the door. Just swing around, sit on the edge of the seat and walaw, a fist full of cash.

Using a trailer with a full width tail gate would be the easiest option, and lucky for me I happen to already own an enclosed trailer with full width tail ramp, however many people already own trailers with dual ramps so this method may allow them to continue using those trailers without needing any modifications or extra equipment.

Loading the Elio onto a standard trailer with two ramps is actually fairly easy as long as the ramps can be repositioned anywhere along the back of the trailer. Just drive the front end on to the trailer and stop as soon as you have the front end loaded then move one ramp to the center and drive up the rest of the way.

Fast food joints will have to toss your food to you, guess what it won't look or taste any different.
I considered that as I was getting my first look at Elio Tuesday. The distance from the driver's seat to the outside of the front wheels is small enough that there shouldn't be an issue at fast food drive through windows where there will be someone to meet your reach half way. ATM's and that type of drive through will require stepping out of the vehicle to interact with the keypad and/or screen because the ride height is significantly below that of most other vehicles.

I've been considering the fact that the rear tire will be constantly traveling in "no man's land" that is not swept clear of road debris nearly as much as the traditional tire paths, therefore it is the most likely of the 3 wheels to be punctured and also the most difficult to change, If it is even possible to do so on the road side. Not the best situation. I think they should look into a non-pneumatic rear tire if there is anything at all that will give close to an acceptable ride and tune the rear suspension to deal with it. The rear tire does not need as much traction as the front tires, like in most FWD cars it's just supporting weight and "along for the ride". Not entirely of course, it has to have some lateral traction for cornering but compared to the fronts it's pretty much just getting towed around.
