Brake fluid reservoir.

It's not an inverter, it's a DC power supply to run the lights from AC power when the vehicle is on display. I think they unhook the battery via the Anderson connector (large grey rectangle next to the distributor) and run from the DC supply.

The battery in the P4 is probably about the same size and position as it will be in the production model. Small possibility they would rotate it 90 degrees to be flat against the firewall.

Um... You still need a reservoir for hydraulic brakes. Doubt the P4 has cable brakes...o_O

I'm hoping it will be a regular car size battery that I can upgrade along with the alternator to much more amps to run my electronics (ham radio gear).

You know they do make solid-state 2m and HF rigs nowadays. Don't have to run boat anchors...

And if your rigs are solid-state, you need better antennas or something and QRP!

Is that a windshield washer reservoir? I thought I remember a big stink about there not being one...

A big stink? Most people like the idea of using the bottle the windshield washer fluid comes in as the reservoir. The space has been designed to hold it perfectly so when it is empty you simply remove the old bottle and screw the top on the new one. No more trying to pour fluid into the typical reservoir. :-) Z

Anybody know what size the alternator will be? 50A? 70A? My 4 channel audio amplifer uses two 40 amp fuses!
