The door is properly located for an America vehicle. The console is always located to the right of the driver here. That being said, the only logical position for the door is on the street side. If the door was on the "passenger" side I would have a mental breakdown waiting for the operator to show up. Enough said!

to help speed thing up, when one sees it coming it might be appropriate to dial 9-1--- and wait with finger ready .. o_O
