The P4 was registered in Michigan as a motorcycle, but I guess they could change their laws.

None of the 50 states have the authority to change Federal law. What they require for a state registration or license is up to each state. Why does it take an immigrant to point that out?

Why am I not surprised! It is Texas after all. However, that does not change the fact that the VIN is for a motorcycle no matter what any state says or does once that VIN is assigned and attached. :-) Z
