Ah, the inevitable Mishap thread.......I'll be curious to see the "mishaps" from all of us getting used to riding in the center and forgetting you're even in an Elio....you know how many on here have CRS?

I wonder if there will be any mishaps at the plant, you know, parking the completed Elio for future transport on train/truck and getting front wheels tangled or some such.

It looks to me like the Elio is just wide enough that it would not fall through however it would definitely be interesting to see a photo of an Elio with its front end sitting on top and the rear end in the pit.

I don't trust quick lube places. I'll do most of my own maintenance and repairs. Have a trusted mechanic for all I can't do but I can handle an oil change... plus I get to use the oil I like (Valvoline)

I don't trust them either. 13 years ago I broke my wrist and my wife's car needed an oil change, so I took it to the local Jiffy Lube. I brought in 5 qts of full synthetic and I watched through the window between the waiting area and the maintenance bay and saw the guy up top pour in a qt of oil while the guy underneath still had the drain plug removed. I waited until I was called to the counter to see if they would bring up what they did. The guy proceeded to tell me how everything was checked and that the oil level was one qt low, but no mention of them dumping a qt of new oil through the engine. I told the guy I watched their tech do what he did and he acted like he was shocked. They gave me a coupon for a free oil change, but I never went back...moral of the story? I change my own oil...

has any info been released as to if EM will recommend using synthetic oil
