Front License Plate...

Utah requires a front license plate... on a car. I'm hoping it won't be required on my three wheeled Elio.

Marylandistan is also one of the 19 ignorant states that requires a money-wasting, resource-wasting, pointless, front license plate on cars. I simply ignore it. So long as I'm behaving, the police do not enforce it. If I'm misbehaving, I've had officers write me no-point tickets for the missing plate instead of the actual with-points infraction once they found I have a clean record and I'm a polite perp. So I get to keep the clean record and no front plate for a small fee. Win-win!

I'm not aware of any state that requires a front plate on a motorcycle. The Elio is a motorcycle and will be registered as such in all states that I know of, so no front plate.

Two comments up top: I see the word Marylandistan, I have been in Maryland 24 years, I lived in Pa, Ohio,Michigan, while born in California-resident of 20 years. I believe having a front license plate on a car is great for identifying. Yes I do. Not wasting money when you can use it to identify that vehicle from the front angle or back angle, driving towards you or driving away from you (car-truck-tractor trailer-bus-van-garbage truck-ambulance-Hurst-city & county vehicles, etc.
Now the Elio is a subcategory of motorcycle, which is named an autocycle. Looks like one plate only is going to be required. So great eh of Paul Elio design with three wheels, enclosed and you set in a car seat to fall under a lot of motorcycle money saving cost!

Good Point. No plates on motorcycles. If they do require them no biggie....

My Scoot Coupe has room for a front plate but being classified as a motorcycle here in Texas, they only issued one plate! Probably will be the same for the Elio... :-)
