What happend to the rest of it? At least 1/3 of the length is missing! Z

People cut them up to make them shorter. It makes sense for cars that are too far gone to restore or accident damaged ones. I have seen some they are usually very hacky or done well.

Back on subject --- If some of the sportier of us would chose to install the open fenders and 265/55 or so tires it might be mechanically possible to flip however the instant the rear gets light and the rear brake locks the ABS will start modulating brake pressure to the fronts. No endos but you will be stopping incredibly fast and much more gracefully than upside down and backwards.

Wonder what speed it would take ,if you slammed on brakes in the Elio , that the back would flip over the front? I would hope the ABS would control that from happening . Just thinking with the 2 front wheels working like a henge and having most the weight up front or at least most half way ,it would make the rear tend to lift.

I seriously doubt you could get the Elio to do a 'stoppie", especially with ABS. I'm sure someone will try though. Looking forward to those You tube video's.

The only way I can see someone flipping this vehicle is a very hard turn at speed to enter a power slide followed by a full lock-up. Maybe combined with ice. I don't see why it would be any easier to flip than, say, a high-centered SUV. It takes a lot of really bad things to happen before you can flip a vehicle.

In hi speed turns, I think the triangle of the Elio would be more stable than a conventional 4 wheeled rectangle.
