That doesn't make sense if I understand your information correctly. You upgraded from $100 to $500. You will not get a Spot in LIne until you are reserved at $1,000. Unless they have changed the rules. Since they are likely expecting a lot of upgrades and new reservations with the return of the 50% bonus, those who go in at $750 or $1000 will be ahead of you. Do you see what I am saying? I hope it makes sense, DWR. Z

I understood that Everybody, no matter the amount or commitment has a "spot in line", it will not be as clearly defined as( 1k all in )who know exactly their "spot", but EM has a running list of all spots on line (changes with upgrades and new reservations.
i.e. if you're $100 want in, you have a spot in the line behind all of the other reservations , but ahead of the next $100 want in.
After the cut-off if they wanted EM could publish a list of the (total number 40k,50k etc.??) which will show exactly where everyone is on the final list.

Hey Z. You know that I've followed the Elio almost as long as you have. I think that offering a production number at a $500.00 reservation means that they are close to cutting off reservations. It was bound to happen at some point. Maybe they are cutting them off at 37K-38K for first year production? Anyway, that's good news no matter how you look at it. You know I'll post it if I get a number, so we'll have to wait till then.

I agree RUCRAYZE, but now Elio Motors has said "2) You will receive a "Spot in Line" email that specifies and confirms your position by number." Reservation cutoff AND production may be closer than we think! We've been in a holding pattern so long, a big change in progess can be shocking. Like I said, if I get a number, it will be posted here. No worries my Elio brothers and sisters. I'm in at this level now, and will keep you posted.

Of course the follow up question is does this mean that they expect to close reservations after this promotion is over sometime after the New Year.

I think they will close it G1. How else could they offer a number at a $500.00 reservation? This is really good news if it turns out to be true! Closer and closer my friend!

Z. I don't have a number.....yet. Elio's website said I will get a number, if I upgrade to $500.00, which I did. I will keep you posted if I get a number. It makes you wonder if they have some big fleet orders to fill out the additional reservations. I can't wait to see how the numbers go over the next few weeks. I tried to call my son to tell him to get his butt in gear while he has this hot opportunity but he is either at work or at his dads eating leftovers. My guess he is at work. Hopefully I will reach him tomorrow. :-) Z
