Elio Addict
Husband & I was driving home from a gig in Cleveland. Since he works up there he knows his way around. We spied a Tesla Dealer in 5000 block of Mayfield Road, just outside of Cleveland. We were both dressed to kill in our Sunday best, so we stopped in. Of course I grabbed one of the Elio Business Cards I ripped off the tour team in Michigan from my purse.
We were up front with the gorgeous young man who jumped out of the wood work to sell us a Tesla about our intentions and I asked about the 'Law Trouble'. He explained that Tesla is 'allowed' three stores (not dealerships) in the state of OHIO. This one is a full operation with a service center in the back. The building was a dealership of another vehicle, for years, and it closed. The others are in Columbus and Cinni, I believe he said. But they are only stores in the mall. He invited us to sit in one of the Teslas in the showroom. OMGS, it is beautiful. Leather seats, fancy ass computer for a dash board and when we closed the doors they sucked in and sealed. The hustle and bustle of the people talking in the showroom noise was cut to whispers. Yes, it was beuatiful, for the price of a small hobby farm. We loved it of course, but we love our little farm too.
The show room was decked out with lots of information and computer stuff. Much like I think the Elio showrooms will be. We were checking out the stripped down to the aluminum frame model there and the head sales lady named Rebecca, who fit nicely in her skinny jeans, came running at us holding the Elio business card I gave to Mr. Gorgeous. She said her father checked out the Elio on line and he said the Elio is REAL. He is really impressed with it. Well, we didn't argue the FACT, her father knows best, lol. Mr. Gorgeous was already busy with other possible customers. She explained about the frame and the power converter and it is only available with rear end drive. But, the will be coming out with 4 wheel drive soon. The batteries are placed under the frame, thousands of them. The whole thing, batteries and all, weight about 4700 pounds, not the thousands I thought it would.
Well, long story short; I believe I sold an Elio to Rebecca. And Dad might be joining us too. And my husband's recital was lovely too.
