Agreed...Elio's lack of transparency is slowly tarnishing their public image...
As it related to consumer products...public perception is always the truth...
Lets face it, we don't ever expect you to say anything remotely negative about Elio. From the looks of it your already on the payroll. As you said yourself, most have not experienced a delay because their reservations were made after May 2014. Lemmings also appear blissful as they jump from the cliff. They only rely on what Elio tells them and are not interested in doing their own research (which is fine). "Preception is Reality", have you ever heard that?

Actually I have heard that as Texas just also tried to tell us that "perception is always the truth" so I guess he means everything he perceives to be true must be true. o_O

I agree that most people have not done enough research and a lot of what I see from you two tells me you should be following this advice and doing more digging before commenting on some of the things you comment on. Most people here know I have actually done a lot of research on Elio Motors so I am fully aware of about as much information as I can find publicly and a few things I have managed to dig up via private channels. I have also shared a lot of this information yet many people simply ignore it and continue on with their own thoughts whether or not they fit the facts.

I am sure most people realize this however I will state it for the record anyway just to be clear. I do not have, or ever have had, any formal or informal relationship with Elio Motors, or any EM representative, other than as reservation holder interested in more information about Elio Motors, their suppliers, partners, stakeholders, and personnel.

Nice posting...

Your point is well made...the currently silence from the Elio Motors says it all...

What silence?

How about the engine in testing news we have received in just the last two months?
How about EM reporting that Comau is moving equipment around inside the plant not just for sale but also in preparation for production?
How about EM stating they will have an engine to display soon and will be attending major auto shows this year?
That is just a few quick items of major news EM has released via official channels in recent months.

The fact is that EM has been releasing information. There is a big difference between Elio Motors not releasing new information and whether people wish to believe the information or feel entitled to more than was released. We all would like to be kept in the loop daily however for many reasons that is never going to happen. Information will be disseminated as EM sees fit.

just curious, what else does anyone outside of EM have to go on ..????.. those who have been around since the beginning have seen the ups and downs .... those who haven't (the vast majority of reservation holders haven't) only know what is being reported .... I do find it interesting when folks who claim to be strong supporters don't seem to recognize the fact that the reasons for some delays have been beyond EM's control .... examples : people in Detroit being against the first manufacturing site and the court battle over the plant in Louisiana .... bottom line to me, I'll believe what is released until I catch them in a lie .... so far, that hasn't happened

Well, the 38000 plus "lemmings" each, individually, chose to invest in the opprotunity to become an autocycle owner, as soon as they hit the streets. "We" each came to our own decisions, based on our own investigating and perceptions, based on the totality of the available information and circumstances.

The suppliers I've looked into have all had the ability to fill mass production demand for their product, usually with sixty days or less advance notice.

Each of us who invested, knew in advance this product just might not make it to market, but we did it anyway. Call it a shrewd investment, or a leap of faith, either way, we "lemmings" are all following the same path. Some just squeak louder than others... :p

There is much we don't know about Elio, or just how far along the planning stages they've completed, or just started for that matter.

I for one am excited as heck to be on this adventure! Yes, the information has become stagnate, but the joy and wonder that comes with being a part of this adventure hasn't! I for one am not nearly as excited to hear about mobile internet connections, but it's fine to read about until the hands on, nuts and bolts, hear it run now, stage comes to fruitation!

It is sometimes confusing to read a post from and individual who states they'll own one "if" they come to market, yet, in a typed word sort of appearence, call others down for investing in their own adventure!

Here in the real World, you can't bet on a horse after the race has been ran, you must place your bet before "post" time.... IMO

That can only be taken as an insult.

It might have been meant as one but I actually rather enjoyed it as it is a funny insult for an EM forum if you ask me :D. Regular members would have been within their rights to report such a statement as a personal attack and it would definitely be borderline and likely would be removed.
As a moderator the bar is set higher as we are meant to become lightning rods of sorts at times. I will pretty much take anything as long as insults do not progress into flaming, include abusive content, or cause other members to join in. :)

There in not enough new information to either prove or disprove either side of this quandary. You all judge each other with a defective perceptions based solely on opinions and innuedo. Those willing to rely on perception as reality solely are simply hopeless. Neither side has enough to portray anything substantive.

Lemmings also appear blissful as they jump from the cliff. They only rely on what Elio tells them and are not interested in doing their own research (which is fine).

The irony of this statement kills me, considering lemmings never jumped off cliffs - it was faked for entertainment value.
Most people quote this because they don't do their research.
