I wonder, if half of the reservists up our deposits to $7,000.00, would it be enough to get this project off the ground?
Welcome to Elio Owners! Join today, registration is easy!
You can register using your Google, Facebook, or Twitter account, just click here.My sources at Elio don't think so.Did I miss something? Is Elio motors going to fold? If so, how do you know
It's EZ to understand why your faith in Elio is Wayning especially if you spent your last $491 and moved to Texas. It will all get better, give it time. We are here to support you!!
Non-refundable means you're taking a chance. You're still taking a chance; Elio hasn't folded, and IMO, isn't likely to, at least not for the next 9 months. By that time the ATVM loan decision will have been made. If it's a "no," and there are no other big deals or investments pending, you can start wailing. But that's a ways off.Agree!!! If it sounds too good to be true, it is. If you are young and can afford to wait. go for it. For us over 65ers, I will plan on keeping my Spyder. I refund would be nice since I just sent in my $100 a few weeks ago, when you know Elio saw the writing on the wall.
That's accurate, but they might want to think about changing their minds about that particular engine. Putting it in the P4 (if it will fit) would be a good stunt -- run it in the P4 for a month or two, ungoverned to 35mph like the current engine, and see what its real-world performance looks like -- THEN submit it to destructive testing. Elio, are you listening? That particular engine will be run to failure. Actually, the oil and coolant will be removed a little at a time until catastrophic failure. That's from Elio. They said this engine would never be on the road.
It's time for Elio Motors to use all their remaining cash to offer refunds to any & all deposit holder's that make that request...
It's the ethical thing for Mr Elio to do given the current low probability that the Elio Vehicle will come to market...
And those that still wish to remain in line...can certainly do so...and keep their deposits in place...
I like the way you think!!!I wonder, if half of the reservists up our deposits to $7,000.00, would it be enough to get this project off the ground?
Delay does not equal kaput. Maybe it will be kaput, but not now, not yet, and maybe not ever.Agree!!! If it sounds too good to be true, it is. If you are young and can afford to wait. go for it. For us over 65ers, I will plan on keeping my Spyder. I refund would be nice since I just sent in my $100 a few weeks ago, when you know Elio saw the writing on the wall.
Why all the consternation? And why the surprise? There could no more difficult business to launch than a car company. Thousands of moving parts. The delays are not only expected they're reassuring. Elio obviously wants to get this right. Relax and enjoy the development phase.
