Latest news I have received is Mississippi House passed HB# 111 and sent to Senate. Senate Bill# 2225 and House Bill# 111. Boys lets get it together. House member Massengill and Senator Parker are sponsors of these Bills. No helmet, no motorcycle endorsement seat belt required, sounds good to me. Term AUTOCYCLES in BOTH Bills.

Governor Bryant signed the law on " AUTOCYCLES" , Mississippi will be exempt for helmets and motorcycle license for use in " Autocycles ". For once Mississippi is not the last to get inline with the rest of the world.

GREAT news Russell! I believe that means we are down to 4 states that require the helmet for the Elio.

HB111 is now approved by Governor. SB2225 died in Committee.

It seemed SB 2225 was a duplicate of HB111... Anyway, Yay!

I was going to cut and paste all the good stuff but it really boils down to this:

TO EXEMPT AUTOCYCLES FROM THE MOTORCYCLE HELMET REQUIREMENT; TO AMEND SECTION 63-1-6, MISSISSIPPI CODE OF 1972, TO EXEMPT AUTOCYCLES FROM THE REQUIREMENT OF A MOTORCYCLE ENDORSEMENT
