I decided we needed a thread to report wrong facts reported in the media. Let's have a good laugh at the expense of reporters who don't do very good fact checking. I mean, seriously, how hard is it to at least check the Elio Motors home page? I'll get us started with this link from my Google alerts. They got the HP and Torque wrong. They report 95 Hp and 95 lb/ft of torque vs the 55/55 that Paul keep touting.

I'm not even sure where to start with this article http://www.greencarreports.com/news...h-a-three-wheel-84-mpg-6800-car#disqus_thread but I find myself attracted to the superb argument the author made by writing; "Ultra-high fuel economy saves you very little extra money compared to pretty-good fuel economy because MPG is not the same as consumption (measured in gallons per 100 miles). While it sounds good to go from 33 mpg (in a subcompact) to, say, 65 mpg, you only save 1.5 gallons every 100 miles."

A close second is a response to the articles author I made in response to his critique of another poster "improperly" writing the Elio is "very unique". I love these types of debates, so I had to respond. I know I'm a shit for arguing these types of things. :D
