While one can claim a moral hi ground, they can not sell interruptible power at anything near the rate of constant power. So there is a huge financial incentive to supply power when needed. In our system now $0.27/KW vs $0.09.
I think you are mistaking the caboose for the engine on that train - interruptible power is sold at a discount as an incentive to customers to use less at peak times so the utility company can avoid or delay significant capital investment for additional capacity. It is not cheap because that's all they can get for it.

There is a giant difference between interrupted supply (e.g. wind or solar) and interruptible supply (incentivized time management of demand), and an inability to distinguish between the two clearly demonstrates a lack of understanding of the technology and the economic forces driving the industry, or are attempts to mis-lead.

So, you and I don't have a common understanding of the technology, the economics, or the very meaning of the foundational words.

Gentlemen, this thread is starting to show that it is gone to the unproductive outcome.
I would like to suggest that we end this battle of words and find a different topic to discuss or we'll just close this thread.
I have just posted behind you and agree.

why does this OP think trashing Tesla, built and shipping to the luxury market, has anything to do with Elio, a multi-year dream, still at least a year away, for the cheapo end of the market?
