I thought maybe if they hit the 65,000 by the end of Nov. They could build the 100 fleet units in December and then OUR units in 2017. Wishful thinking I guess.

If you, or anyone else, is interested, I have my data going all the way back to Jan 2013, when the reservation program opened. (Apparently it started Jan 3, 2013.) I have compiled the data from multiple threads here, and from a couple other sources at other sites. There are only a handful of data points from 2013, and almost all of it is October-December. Starting from January 2014 on, it's essentially weekly data.

In a way it's amazing that the rate keeps up over 30/wk for so long. At some point you should see saturation.
I found a 25% hit rate in my area. So, all else being equal, I would expect the rate to start trimming down after 50% or 65% of the population is familiar with the Elio. And at that trimmed level we would still have some sort of a rate. Even so, it took over a year or two for a 10% hit rate to jump to 25%. I see no reason that a minimum of 30/week can't be maintained for all of next year. (10k/yr at 30/wk, 20k at 60, 30k at 90 )
I guess it will be Feb before we know what EM's intentions are for reservations after 65k is reached.
I suspect our current low level is because of all the current pro/con data/information that is now available via google. ( in addition to the seasonal flux )
Of course I'm hoping for new milestones and other changes to pop the rate back up for at least short bursts. Once search results look better, things would pop up. If it gets darker, be it real or fake news, then things would trail off.
