This should shed some light on what’s going on, it’ll be mighty interesting to see what Overstock.com shareholders think of the plan. Keeps getting more and more fun!!!

Overstock.com Shareholders Meeting Info:

Overstock (NASDAQ:OSTK) has scheduled its annual shareholders meeting for May 9th beginning at 1PM MT. The meeting will be webcast live so if you are not a shareholder you may still watch all of the proceedings.

Typically, annual shareholder’s meetings are routine events with little new revealed in contrast to quarterly earnings calls when analysts get to ask probing questions about operations. But this year, the Overstock meeting may be of interest due to the numerous changes the company has pursued regarding its emerging blockchain operation, tZero and its other investments and acquisitions. Usually there is some Q&A with the shareholders at annual meetings so perhaps we may gain a glimmer as to what is next or maybe some additional insight into the Elio Motors investment.

I think the class action lawsuit filed by the shareholders should give you a good idea what they think of all of this.

That's the part of the article that stood out to me the most. Elio doesn't have the money to open retails stores across the country. So they are setting things up to sell the Elio on the Overstock.com website. And since no one will get a car until all reservations have been filled it really doesn't make sense to have retail stores for people to walk into if they can't buy a car. This is a cost savings to Elio and great news.

They will never need stores. With the 65k on the road, they will sell themselves. Overstock will process the orders and within a day or two, the Elio will be in your driveway.

So no test drives or anything now?

My point was, sir, if they direct sell through Overstock.com Cars, where is the opportunity for test drives?
