Walmart Advanced Vehicle Experience Concept Truck

Production model from 25 years ago - Pete was getting 10+ mpg out of them in fully loaded cross country tests. H-D had a fleet of them back in the day. State length rules relaxing and a shortage of drivers killed them. The big fleets went conventional (hood) trucks to keep/attract drivers and...

    Elio Motors One Day Event?

Their marketing people must not start very early, it's almost noon here in God's Country, and no "morning" email yet.

    Random Thoughts

    1. Octagonal. Compromise. 2. Area 51. 3. In the pouch on the back of the seat. (Serious on this one, lots of equipment uses that location) 4. You're fired.

    Lola Wisconson Tour Stop

Edit: threads merged. Now if one of the mods could edit the title to read Iola instead of Lola, thatd be great!

    Lola Wisconson Tour Stop

I'd love to, but I'm booked solid, unless I play hooky from work. For you bacon lovers, plan a short side trip up to Wittenberg and pick up some Neuske's bacon. You can thank me later. 60 ish miles round trip.

    Jebar's 2015 Nascar Thread

I saw a Twitter response earlier that the crews that ran to Dillon's car after the wreck "Absolutely would not be penalized" It was one that will make highlights for years to come, and the type of wreck that will spark more safety debate for sure. I thought the hit from Brad K's car at the end...

Jokes! ( Not Necessarily Work Safe )

Directions to Deronda, WI. Take F until you see K. Not BSin ya. County Roads F and K are separated by a half mile stretch of County road (not making this up either ) PP

Possible Futures Of Ev's And-or Fuel Cells.

Someone please tell me where all this excess electric capacity will come from, and at what cost? Our grid system is stretched already in many places..

    Jebar's 2015 Nascar Thread

Correction: TNT & ABC/ESPN. TNT sucked, ESPN/ABC just average at best. NBC has a pretty good crew lined up, I hope they put on a great show.

Outrigger Steering And Brake Line Safety?

I believe I've seen that both will be flat towable.

Outrigger Steering And Brake Line Safety?

Auto reporters sure should, but the morning show/business show types may very well not, and that's a lot of PR to ignore.

Results Are In!!!! Vote Early, Vote Often!

I put my 25 on blue. White seems to be getting a lot of action though. See below screenshot. Top 2 will have a runoff vote according to the fine print.

    And Now... The P5!

Learned that the hard way. 93 F150 with dual tanks, and my first truck with EFI. Letting one tank go dry before switching to the other cost me a fuel pump in just a few tanks. And a tow home, one empty tank and a full one that wouldn't pump fuel when I switched over. Ever since, I've treated...

    New Anti Elio Facebook Group

Elio Amazed, I'm with ya on the PR change. The engine debut fiasco cost EM credibility in many people's eyes. They made an about face shortly after that. The no news technique bothered a lot of people, but it was needed. Waiting to see what comes out of the Cali meeting tonight.

    The Elio Dragon

You'd want yours with really expensive green paint then? :D (See my avatar, not a Deere fan)

    And Now... The P5!

If they really wanted a right side door option, both shift and park brake are cable controlled and could be door mounted. I don't see a need, but it is doable. Fanciful thinking - what about a suicide passenger door on the right, driver door still on the left?

    84 Mpg

I drove to Chicago twice last year for work. Made good coin even at 30 mpg. And no TSA. I suspect maintenance will be pretty cheap. Nothing real exotic to worry about. Depreciation? If you throw it away after 100,000 miles, its 7 cents a mile. Most cars in that mileage range are a third to half...

    84 Mpg

I drive about 35,000 miles a year. About 28,000 goes on the commuter car, the rest in the truck due to need or prrsonal choice. If I replace all the miles the car runs, it would save me 800+ gallons a year.

    And Now... The P5!

I used to have a 74 Plymouth Fury 2 door. Possibly the biggest doors ever. Up was more the direction they closed than in by the time I owned it. I'd not worry much about the Elio door. Its still fairly small. On topic, love the P5. The nose changes make it look a lot cooler.
