2024 will be exciting. I look forward to Aptera and Nimbus are confirmed to come out. Plus with those nationwide free test drives, it will be a hit. I know they will not be like FUV that makes it almost impossible for people to take a test drive for free and thus why we see why they are...
For Nimbus, the release date was for Q3 in 2023. Since that date was closing to an end they now they say, 2024 (no quarter or half). I wonder if they were running into supply chain issues or covid or maybe the broken markets and needed to push that date back to a question mark for the year 2024...
We are going to the Penn State game in November when they play Rutgers. Even have an overnight RV pass. That place is transformed for those football events. Last year we went to a game and they had 107K in attendance. I do know that they have a seismometer on campus and they can graph right when...
Remember, sell the idea first and then for service, that comes later. Anyone that complains about service, just tell them, "You can fix it yourself!" Now many people might not have ant mechanical ability or tools but they should be able to fix an Arcimoto.
I think for time, Moller wins. The guy used to own Supertrapp (actually started the company and then sold it). He bought all of the Evinrude machinery at auction because they were owned by GM and Rotarys were the future, yet GM gave up. That's what was going to power Moller's flying car. I...
Arcimoto had their conference call yesterday. A few things:
-Delivered 65 vehicles to customers in Q2
-Produced 94 vehicles year to date
-Delivered 102 vehicles year to date
-Produced 1000th vehicle in June. A milestone
-A total of 665 FUV's delivered to customers
-TMW delivered 11 kits this...
Three wheelers will never be mainstream. They will be niche and cater toward older guys that have money to spend on toys. That's the bulk of the market. I bet if you did a survey on the people that are interested in three wheelers, most will be retired.
For the Slingshot and Spyder, they were...
I disagree. The money is there for both to use. They do not need to be successful either. Just use it up. After that, look elsewhere for money. Zero risk.
This latest thing with Arcimoto has bilking the US taxpayers written all over it. So, you take a tactical gear company and a struggling EV company and mix the two together. What could go wrong? Arcimoto has a sub par battery and charging system. The current CEO was working for a failed EV pickup...
I seen this company at a trade show about 10 years ago. They are stuck in some sort of time warp where they keep pushing the same exact thing over and over again. The problem is that 10-20 years ago they might have had a chance but the world past them by. If you think Liquid piston is a scam...
Now they can work with Liquid Piston. With the tech that Arcimoto has developed for an EV and the Liquid Piston being another great product, I can see them making a Liquid Piston Hybrid using proprietary EV tech and then using NxU for the batteries (the best batteries out there) and that's where...
I disagree. I can see it equipped with grenade launchers and machine guns. All while going through a war zone. The doorless idea from Mark was great as you don't need them because of the easy access in and out. Then after a day of fighting, the guys can blow off some steam by having fun in the...
The HVAC thing can just be a heat pump (which I bet was what they were looking at). Issue is, that would take the perfect 102 miles per charge lower. Then if you were on the highway that 33 miles would be really low. The windscreen will block the airflow and thus, make it hotter as opposed to...
More good news. They only lost $20M in the first 6 months as opposed to $30M last year. Revenue is up too. It shows that shutting down the plant and eliminating 2/3 of your workforce is a good thing. As of now, they need to sell 7100 units in 2025 to be cash positive. That's much better than the...
Good news, Arcimoto sales are up. In this period for last year (first 6 months), they sold 65 but this year 102 (57% increase) . Plus, they have the plant and other properties up for sale, so they can raise more money and then use a Lease buyback program. They are not losing as much money either.
Bring up a good point. Paul will talk to Elon and they will build a gigaplant for these three wheelers. I'm thinking a $10K Elio that has 200 hp along with 500 miles of range. Paul worked out the super cheap price. Elon worked out the great range and power. Problem solved.
I suspect he went back to doing roofing. It made him lots of money to where he could start Elio Motors after Elio Engineering went belly up after the stock market crash. It's hard to update your website when you are doing roofing. Give it time, it'll all work out.
