I told the wife the other day that Paul Elio is the modern day HenryFord or Ferdinand Porsche. HenryFord put America on wheels with the model T Ferdinand Porsche at the urging of Adolf Hitler developed the "peoples car" and now Paul Elio is about to change the way smart people commute.
...on the road traveling in our camper in May .... we really enjoy visiting historic places and a range of museums .... if you can get to the HenryFord Museum in Detroit -- http://www.thehenryford.org/ -- and Greenfield Village, plan on spending 3 days to go through the place .... its not...
I find this stuff fascinating Ty, so I very much appreciate your insight and explanations. I watched an old documentary recently on HenryFord (Cliff Robertson played him), so I got to see the early days of an assembly line, and some changes that were made to improve output, etc.

...and you'll be able to buy it. That in itself is pretty amazing. Elon Musk is the only (so far) successful entrepreneur in this field since HenryFord, but he had the capital in hand to do it whether his product was profitable or not. Paul Elio, using the Ford model and a less...
...on the windshield to clear off rain and snow was conceived by an American woman named Mary Anderson in 1903. That was five years before HenryFord created the Model T. Anderson received a patent for her device, which was controlled by a lever inside the car, in 1905.

Please read some of the other posts in this thread. You can choose to panic and assume it won't happen or not. HenryFord is credited with having said: If you think you can't do it, you are right. If you think you can do it, you are right. So my advice to all of us is to keep our faith in...
...transportation, that will help keep us ahead of the pack. Much like the famous quote from the president of the Michigan Savings Bank to HenryFord's lawyer Horace Rackham (as part of the argument not to invest in Ford):
"The horse is here to stay, but the automobile is only a novelty—a...
That was precisely my intention of mentioning HenryFord. They are of the same spirit. And so my original intent was to illustrate that production of a million plus parts plane at rate of one every fifty-six minutes is just plain miraculous and and admirable to say the least and is solely to...
Someone here quotes HenryFord. I had no idea of how great HenryFord was.

...a factory finally after all this time is a pretty serious step. Now that they have a home and are paying to keep the lights on, you'll see changes coming faster. It has taken them a long time to get this far but even HenryFord had a rough go at it in the beginning and look how that turned out.
I agree. I work in traffic control. When doing one-lane roads with radios, your entire day is pretty much announcing your last car, usually with color, make, model (like "blue Ford Escape"). A name, even a made up name (what the heck is an "FJ Cruiser?") is a lot easier and quicker to say than a...
...name to be totally meaningless in all known languages. That's a cop-out.
Paul Elio, in naming his creation, follows in the footsteps of HenryFord, Louis Chevrolet, Walter P. Chrysler, and the Dodge brothers. I think that's appropriate. When a man puts his name on a product, you have to...
...new elio every year for 5 years..and finally, a $12,999 elio. That would have been done with no investors at all. It would also be a workable plan. Never bite off more than you can chew..."he is crazy or the next henryford"....been seven years....they are preparing a room for him right now!
