Hard to recognize him without his cup of coffee.

"Thanks........... So.... Um.... Ah...."
I realize Paul is an important and busy man.
And certainly has more important things to do writing speeches.
But something like ----- Thanks, I'm Paul Elio. Founder and CEO of Elio Motors.
"So..... Um..... Ah....." is almost becoming painful.

To some, public speaking is incredibly painful. He's an engineer not a public speaker / politician / salesman.
I'm giving him some slack.
I agree that he doesn't come across as some powerful, confident CEO of a major automobile cooperation, but he's not that either...yet.

I almost find that part of him endearing. I think it makes him more personable and "common man" to me. I relate better.

Elon Musk is not a good public speaker either, though I appreciate PE not having the same temper tantrums he does.

My take: Paul is getting better at these things. He only got derailed once, then brought himself back on track. His sense of humor isn't registering well, and he stammers a lot. On the plus side, the guy absolutely knows his subject and his passion and belief come through loud and clear.

The only part where I thought he was plain wrong and a little, well, misleading was when he said that being a motorcycle not a car got Elio out of the box confronting Tesla -- state laws preventing factory-owned sales outlets. In Ohio, the law limiting such outlets to Tesla and no others (by virtue of the dates it covers) specifically includes all motor vehicles and defines both cars and motorcycles as motor vehicles. So in Ohio at least Paul is wrong ... and will need to address that problem. But of course, he's not going to go into all that in a press conference. It only shows up if you know about that stuff anyway, so maybe I'm unfairly picking a nit here.

Overall, good job, lots of information. The key thing to me was the number of questions. When they ask lots of questions, they're genuinely interested, which shows up in better / more press coverage.
