You really have to wonder why all the speculation. It's almost as if these folks want Elio to fail because they didn't locate in the rust belt so they jump on anything that they see as negative.

You know, entertainment begs for a dramatic story line. It's entertainment, not news. There is something about us humans, we think we're safer if we mark all things as suspect that we possibly can. Trouble is, it buries the way forward in dirt.
