A funny follow-up story to the above pie. It looks A LOT like a pie at an event I volunteered this weekend.

It's a men's-group-sponsored event, and we ask the ladies of the same church to bring in home-made pies to sell by the slice. Someone had brought in these cool tiered stackable hard plastic pie holders. Well, a lemon meringue (sp?) pie was in the middle of the stack. So I take off the "shelving" above, and the meringue was schtuck to the plastic pie holder above it. So the lemon meringue pie quickly became simply a sour lemon pie. (Bet your mouth is watering now)

Now I bet someone will start a pie thread, asking everyone's favs and recipes and dropped pie stories. May as well be this thread!

Ty, happy birthday to your wife. My wife's birthday was last Friday and I took her to Fredericksburg, TX for a 4- day trip to celebrate her birthday. Got lucky and she was pleased. Had a great time even if I didn't get ny pie.
