I'll be unloading two late model Vespas (GTV250 & GT200) and a Honda Civic ('97) to get the Elio.

If you haven't seen the Elio, there are two events scheduled in NC in December. Here is the current information and we will be posting more as we get it - usually shortly before the events.

according to Elio's website http://www.eliomotors.com/ they have listed two locations for sales offices in NC .... one in the Charlotte - Gastonia - Concord area and one in the Raleigh - Cary area .... as Z noted they are scheduled to have a display in Raleigh in December, we plan to try and get there to see an Elio in person

My trip to Portland, OR was 7 hours round trip. I can assure the trip was well worth while. Usually I only go to Portland for medical appointments so seeing the Elio was a special treat. In fact I will be going to Portland again on Monday with the same friend I took to see the Elio. We both have medical appointments at 2 different hospitals. She has Rheumatoid Arthritis and can't drive that far. 1+ hour? I do that just to see my orthopedic specialist or to visit a friend in assisted living or to pick up my son at Amtrak. That is 1 hour each way. Once a month I drive to Medford, OR for a support group meeting with the same friend I take to Portland. That is 2 hours each way. If you like to drive and want to try the Elio, you will want to make the effort. Trust me on this. :-) Z

And by the way, if I had been young and, in my opinion, stupid, I am old enough to be your mother. Old Farmer indeed. You don't know what old is until you have lived it. LOL :-) Z
