I have a few questions that I haven't thought much about until now:
  1. What's the turning radius? My 2004 Toyota Tacoma is about 20 feet.

  2. How often should I change the oil? Should I use synthetic?

  3. Can I drive the Elio through any automatic car wash without concern?

  4. If my windshield needs replacing, can any company I choose do the job?

  5. Will Geico cover my Elio without much trouble? I should probably call them.

  6. Are the exterior lights LED (headlamps, brake lights, etc.)?

  7. How many miles can I expect over the life of the car? 200,000?
Thanks!

None of the questions can be answered with certainty until after the proof of concept is built/tested and there are road tested miles logged on the 100 Elio Betas with performance reviews logged in by the drivers and evaluated by EM engineers.

1. I thought they said 19ft but that might change once the suspension is finalized
2. It a motor, change it like you would any other motor driven on the road. I use Castrol Edge Full Synthetic, and Bosch Filter for Synthetics. I've been running Synthetics everything in my cars for the last 40 years, have never (knock on wood) had an oil failure.
3. Depends on the car wash; if it's one that you stand still and it goes back and forth, you're good, the regular pulled/pushed through I kind of doubt that it will work. It's a little vehicle, hand wash it. :thumb:
4. Unknown at this time
5. Call your insurance people
6. unknown, but doubtful; it's a matter of cost; regular bulbs are still cheaper than LED
7. at least 36,000 EM only warranties it 3 years or 36,000 miles, which ever comes first. Anything more is yet to be determined.

2. In the past EM has said every 3,000 miles. CYA. Anything less than 5,000 is ridiculous given modern engines and modern oils. (I change every 6,000-8,000 and car has 320,000 miles.) Use synthetic if you want.

3. No.
I always break in my engines in like this , then use synthetic and change every 5,000 miles..............
I easily get hundreds of thousands of miles out of my vehicles :D
