this a little sick, and my apologies if it offends- but it worked like a champ.
BTW, after a few of my responses I haven't received any more - they must somehow share call lists?
Here it is-
When they ask for me by name I ask who's calling or they start their rap. I start acting like I live in a group home with folks of limited mental capacity and
Do you want to be my friend?, I like you, then I fight for the phone with another resident "no he's my friend and won't let you talk to him- if you keep this up, I'll have to call our counselor. It takes a few more retorts the best is home repairs "yes we have a roof it's up there" I keep stringing them out until they thank me and I yell but aren't you my friend.!!

I remember hearing years ago that the worst thing you can do to a telemarketer is to waste their time.

This is fairly old, but it's funny. Think he was on Bob & Tom a while back. He terrorizes this poor telemarketer.
