Sadly, you are correct.

One of my biggest "Pet Peeves" is people who say "I'm gonna" -- I'm gonna do this or gonna do that.

Clearly there was money spent on the prototypes, but why go through that exercise if you didn't have a plan in place to bring the "Mongrel" to market. I think I would have researched all of the import regulations, etc. or had a warehouse in the US to build the thing (without worrying about importing regulations). The guy claimed to have built race cars and such, so this should have been a "walk in the park". There was nothing exotic about the "Mongrel" that could not have been sourced in the US -- all "off the shelf" parts and some sheet metal.

I imagine he could have had Paul Elio's database of reservation holders for a song, then sent out literature to each of them.

It reminded me of a personal project for him and he just used this group and others who got shafted by Elio, to make him feel good about what he was doing. I found out that when he was extremely defensive about this project and what he could do, sent up a red flag that he was covering up something. Plus, what was his last name? We knew he was Mark and going to make the BEX Mongrel but other than that, zero information about him. He wrote his resume for everyone to make it sound like that he had it all under control and was here for you, the Elio Owner. He got what he wanted, a handful of people that supported him and were ready to buy, yet he never intended to sell or any of his other plans.

It seems that if there was a mass market for an affordable enclosed three wheeler motorcycle…….established motorcycle or ATV manufacturers would have designed, engineered, and brought one to market. The key expense for a new startup up’s mass production plan is sourcing parts, tooling manufacturing facilities, and training employees. Current Brands have that covered and would simply be introducing a new enclosed model option to their current model lineup.

This is right. To date we don't have any that are successful. So, I wonder why people keep trying this? Elio and Arcimoto are out of business. So, Arcimoto that promised before the IPO that they were going to do exactly what you wanted, went broke before you could take delivery. Elio never got off the ground. Existing manufacturers do not go into this three wheel wheeler marked globally. Not just the US but the rest of planet earth. So, that must tell you something. People are not interested (outside the niche market) in three wheelers. Yet we keep trying. Just look at Aptera and they are going down the same path a second time.

Yet Vanderhall and Polaris were smart enough to know that these are a niche market and just can survive. I know we hate those companies because they do not hit the target of a fully enclosed vehicle that has all of the comforts of a car and are hard to get in and out of, yet you'd think if this market was so big, those two would attempt to go after it. Yet they do not.

Mark is going to do it and I feel confident that he knows because he's smart and fun plus full enclosed will be the Archetrike. He went much further than Paul did and knows what it take to get a fully certified vehicle on the road and into paying customers hands. He might be a complete idiot on the rest of the business but as we know, getting them on the street, makes instant demand. If fixes the other part.
