Prior to November 2019, I was waiting on Arcimoto’s invitation to order. I ordered in November for an early December delivery, then cancelled. Now the wait is on me. I can jump back into the production queue whenever I’m ready to take delivery.......Doors or no doors. I’m a realist not an optimist. I understand that bringing a new vehicle to production takes time. It was worth the wait. I’m confident doors will be available from the supplier soon. I was so impressed by the vehicle’s easy ingress/egress/driver comfort and it’s performance/handling during my test drive, I would buy the FUV without doors and use it as my mild 4 season climate permits, as a more typical motorcycle. Mark Frohnmayer’s recent statement in a letter to his customers regarding driving his Arcimoto Customer #0 says it all, and he currently drives open air. Samuel, Thanks for the kind words!Well, Rick, it's been 5 months. More than "a few more months", but at least it's not been another year. When they tell you again that your doors, etc are still not available, are you going to continue to postpone, or will you take what you can (hopefully) get?
I'm still impressed with your patience and optimism.
... and also incorporated liquid-cooling on their batteries which was one of the questions I posed to them regarding battery heat degradation and a very important consideration in buying EVs.
Plenty of space in my garage for two three wheelers. I suggest you test drive the FUV too, just for the FUN of it, even though it doesn’t meet your needs. Speaking of doors, one of my favorite features of the FUV is the doors.........attachable for enclosed rides on nasty weather days and removeable for open air rides on the nicest of days..........convertible. It’s like having the $19K SOLO and the $50K(?) Tofino all rolled into one fun utility vehicle.
