At What Price Would You Be Willing To Sell Your Elio Once You Get It?

Think about people seeing Elio's on the road and going to the website to order one and seeing it's at least a year until they can get one! Don't you think a few peeps would be willing to pay $20k to have one now? Maybe a business for an advertising wrap or just a person with some disposable cash...Mine is going to be in my garage for sale to the highest bidder on ebay....

I think with it being so unique, you may get more in the long run having a business bay for a wrap than selling it out right. At least then you will still get to drive it around.

This is true with a NORMAL vehicle, however, the Elio is anything BUT normal...I would say that until Elio's production numbers are high enough to get rid of the waiting list, some people will be willing to pay far more for a used one than they cost new...of course, this will all come back to normal once production numbers meet demand...

This may or may not be true. Depends upon, obviously, the financial situation as well as the patience of the buyer. If they've just got money to burn and 'gotta have it now', then sure, anything has a price. But if they actually do their homework and realize that a) if they get in line now, they will only have to wait a few months after production starts to get their car, and b) the maximum they'd have to wait is a year or so.
Personally, I think that when the vehicle comes out there may be bugs as well as waiting longer will provide more options. If I had any patience at all,and wasn't desperate for the money savings, I'd probably wait until the 2nd or 3rd year of production to purchase. Kinks worked out, options maximized, maybe a turbo diesel option, convertible, etc...

I said 20K. At that price I could purchase 2 new Elios and still be able to drive each one of them 76,800 miles (gasoline @ $3.50 per gallon) before taking a cent out of my pocket for gasoline. Or I could give one to my grandson and drive mine for 153,600 miles. Can't mess with that logic now can you?

A used car is still a used car. Maybe years down the road if it becomes collectible people will play more but don't hold your breath for a high demand

Someone that doesn't have $6800.........using the money saved for 2+ years of fuel cost.

Yep I agree, except it's folks like me that the Elio is not first for transportation -saw a great quote- "the cool factor", and THEY are the want but don't need the car. A lot of folks here have stables of cars from their descriptions, some of them quite pricy. Many have spent easily more on motorcycle (s)
than a dressed Elio. (me too), Got my cars- gave up my bikes, and then a chance to drive a "motorcycle-for-seniors" Wish us all the best, see ya on the road
