I wonder if Paul & EM has approached any of the richer Native American tribes to be investors in the Elio venture. Some of these tribes clear well over a billion dollars a year in casino revenues and may be open to establishing a manufacturing presence to diversify their portfolio.

Unfortunately, I used to live in the Twin Cities and can tell you with 100% certainty that there are way more than 460 legitimate members of the Shakopee Mdewakanton Tribe. However, The tribes make it almost impossible to prove your heritage to their tribe so that they don't have to share casino profits and instead most of that tribe as well as the Prairie Island tribe in Welch, MN live in poverty. The rich tribal leaders would rather have the state take care of their people and pocket the casino profits.

The Native American Tribes will invest with non tribal members. It's done all of the time. Case in point, just Google Scott Tucker. He had a pretty good thing for the Miami Tribe in Oklahoma. All of those online payday loans that you see advertised on TV were funneled through that tribe and Scott Tucker was just an "employee." The tribe and Scott made tons of money. It was because the Tribe could charge whatever interest they wanted. In the end, it was very profitable and much more than Elio could ever imagine.

No matter how the money is funneled or who benefited, it's still loan sharking and EVIL, whether legal or not.

By now it is obvious that Elio Motors is NOT a PR firm. It may become one AFTER the Autocycle is in production. That leaves speculation for conversation with a smattering of actual news.
