talk about a great road trip destination .... for folks who appreciate engineered elegance along with custom design and craftsmanship, I highly recommend taking the time to visit the Auburn Cord Duesenberg Automobile Museum - http://www.automobilemuseum.org/ - in Auburn, Indiana .... when you go be sure to allot a full day and take extra batteries for your camera .... the museum is housed in the old Auburn Cord factory and has a one of a kind inventory of classic cars .... there aren't may museums that I want to go back to but this is one of them .... we have a bunch of pictures that can be seen at this link - http://www.myrvtalk.com/indiana/7417-auburn-cord-duesenberg-automobile-museum-auburn.html - while in that part of the country a trip over to the Studebaker National Museum in South Bend, IN - http://www.studebakermuseum.org/ - is a half day well spent

I have heard about these museums and have wanted to visit these museums for years however as they are out in the middle of northern Indiana I just have not had a chance to be close enough with enough extra time to make it over to see them. These really are some beautiful automobiles and in many cases real works of art!

http://www.rvmhhalloffame.org/ -- rv motor home museum

http://www.cfbhall.com/ -- college football hall of fame and museum

http://hallofheroesmuseum.com/ -- world's only museum for comic book heroes ..

The College Football Hall of Fame and Museum is no longer in South Bend. They recently moved to a brand new facility near me in Atlanta. :)

I didn't know that, info appreciated .... when it was in South Bend they had a playing field and reception building at ground level .... the museum was underground .... I'd heard that it flooded a few years ago and didn't know that they moved it

One of America's Five Greatest Automobile Museums is the National Automobile Museum (The Harrah Collection) in Reno, Nevada. It has a “Wow!” factor you don’t often find in a museum.
