Back Up Lights?

I forgot to ask when I was with the car, but will the production model have back up lights or no?
If they don't have them how will the back up camera work at night?

Maybe I'm wrong, but it seems to me if it is to meet 5 star safety standards, back up lights will be necessary. :-) Z

The safety stars relate to crash testing, I don't think lighting is involved, not that lighting doesn't relate to safety.

I have a Dodge grand caravan with a backup camera and backup lights. Works great at night with just a little glare around the edges. It is not a problem and it should not be on the Elio either

That is a VERY good question!!

The P4 has backup lights so I would say it is very likely that they will in the final model as well. I don't know where it is right now but I know we have seen videos of the Elio pulling out of the trailer with the reverse lights working.
