[snip] Say, CT, have you ever tried a Dew float? Growing up that was a big treat at our house! A six pack and a half gallon of ice cream divided 7 ways. That doesn't help with your commute dilemma but you can ponder it in the evening over a delicious MD float.
I have not. Sounds....interesting.
Combine this with the straw suggestion above, we may be onto something!

I sense... hesitation. Come on, growing up we all knew ice cream could do wondrous things! Give it a shot. Think of it as a liquid lemon chiffon pie with a side of ice cream. And a lot of caffine. Toss it in a cup and take it to work, caffine and ice cream before work? How better to start the day!

Everyday on my commute into work, I drink either a bottle or a can of Dt. Mt. Dew. Making no comment about how it's going to kill me eventually, it did dawn on me that the Elio may end up determining whether I choose a bottle or a can. Today, I chose a bottle, and in my Solera, when I went to take the last sip, I had a difficult time getting the last drops out of the bottom because the bottle was hitting the roof of the car. I wasn't able to tip the bottle all the way upside-down.
All that to say, I wonder if the headroom in the Elio will allow me to drink the last out of my bottle of Dew.

Really running out of things to discuss, aren't we?

Have a great Thursday everyone!

I think we may have jumped the shark with this thread .....;) Anyway , I have not enjoyed a can beverage in decades .

Right about the limited topics we can really discuss. I use a Tervis Tumbler 24 oz cup... insulated, of course. I buy Diet Coke in 2 liter bottles and simply fill my cup before I leave. I hate that we, as a society waste so much. I understand a bottle of soda (or coke or pop or whatever you want to call it) but it chaps my hide to see people with one use water bottles when you can easily refill a bottle. We have a "water bottle refill station" at work and when I mention it to people they are usually indifferent about it. (we teach a lot of younger military here) It seems spending more on water than gas costs is okay.

See, nothing to talk about and we still manage several posts about it. FWIW, I have the height issue in my truck with my cup a little as well. I didn't get the feeling that I'd have the same issue in the Elio... seems you sit DOWN in it a little more or something. I didn't feel the top was too close to my head (6'3" here)

This whole bottle can discussion got me thinking.
(yes, it was extremely painful. I try not to do it too often.)
Wouldn't it be nice if they had ceramic Elio coffee mugs for home use or insulated Elio mugs for in car use at the Elio store?
And yes, I did check.

I'd be willing to bet a cup of coffee that not too far down the line a pretty good range of Elio paraphernalia will be available at their stores and probably on line as well

I was referring to the online store.
Heck, I still have my old Pyramid Technologies mug and a bunch of AT&T mugs from various internal organizations.
Hope you're right.
