Probably a contractual thing; I remember reading that the studios were none too happy with McQueen's or Paul Newman's racing activities. If you look up the original "On Any Sunday", you'll see a lot more of McQueen. :cool::D

Oh, for the record, early seventies Group 7 and Can Am cars have never been equaled! :cool::D

Both the Great Escape and Bullitt were great movies.

It always makes me smile to see the "Nazi/German" bike ridden by McQueen in the G.E. (jumped over the fence by Bud Ekins, if I recall correctly). It was actually a British Triumph twin.
