I too got the letter from Paul about the final price of an Elio at $7300 and was under the impression that as a $1000 non refundable all in that the $7300 would be my price, minus the incentives offered earlier. Now I see a link in one of the threads that has you go to the Elio Motors website and if you commit to lock in you can get the $7000 price. This is the link, https://www.eliomotors.com/lockin/

If I did not read about this here on this forum, how would I know to go to that site and save $300?

Because the email said to. It stated that if you committed, you would get an additional $300 off.

If you got the same letter from Mr. Elio as me, "Elio Motors Locks In Its Price", it stated all the information about 7K, 7.3K and reasons for committing.

I guess I didn't read the letter close enough. I hope others don't make the same mistake I did. Interesting my brother got the same letter and didn't understand it either.

You are not alone... pretty sure I gave it a quick glance, and paid little attention since I was already all-in. Thanks to this forum for getting me to realize there was more to it.

One item I don't think anyone has picked up on yet (probably because everyone has been running around in a Code Red panic state of confusion) is that I think it's great that besides giving us a new transportation option, signing bonuses, additional bonuses for the early adopters, another $300 bonus for simply stating one addition "I Want It", t-shirt and priceless bumper sticker (ok, maybe not priceless), shares in the company that have almost doubled already, on a new "car" that is going to be almost 1/2 of what all other new cars, Paul has made sure that those that have backed him are rewarded.
What other car company has ever done that for anyone?

So 3 simple words: Thank you Paul.

Up $500, a little over 7% over how many years? I don't see a problem with that.
I do have a question though about he $1000 I put down in my commitment. I didn't expect it to be held in escrow but to be used to help finance the enterprise. Am I correct that $1K will be deducted from the vehicle price when my Elio is delivered?
