Anyone ask how these two will work together? The last I saw with the AutoLinQ, it needed a mount as well. How are you going to use both of these products?

The easy answer is that you don't. The Skyz replaces the Continental AutoLinq stereo system and uses the same installation location while also including all the same functionality plus even more features.

curious .... the stereo was one of the original standard features .... if it is removed, will the cost of that component of the Skyz system be deducted

I think I can answer that with a question. The last time you bought a car did they refund you after you upgraded the radio, rims, tires, etc? Not to mention as I believe G1 mentioned its an off the shelf $20 am/fm radio. Not sure it would be worth the paperwork.

probably not .... but that is the way they are marketing the factory approved options .... add leather seats and you pay the difference in the cost of the seat .... my guess is it will come with the AM/FM radio and the Skyz system will be installed after manufacture .... one would think the cost would be the difference which in this case would be a substantial one

Blackbird this is just another case where because the EM business model is different than we are used to what should be an obvious answer, like the one you provided, may or may not apply to the way EM does things. In this case I understand why JEBar is asking this question as I know that Elio VP Jerome Vassallo has told both JEBar and myself, on separate occasions, that EM factory installed options will be discounted by the value of the replaced item.

We do not really have enough details just yet to be able to answer the question with any certainty however JEBar could very well be correct that that any radio upgrade, including the Skyz, could follow the same pattern and be discounted a small amount to account for the original unit cost.
