Although I have a big selection of CD's and mixes my wife has done for me, but I have been migrating toward MP3's so I can have my tunes even out in the boonies. It looks like I'm going to have to transfer a box full of cassettes to CD or thumb drives so I can have my "adult education" with me on the road. It seems cassettes went the way of the 8-track some time ago, and CD's are headed in the same direction.

I miss my RX's 6-disc internal changer, not to mention the Mark Levinson sound. I'm keeping my options open on the radio because there is so much available at reasonable cost in the aftermarket where competition is brutal. So long as EM provides a DIN-1 space, the choices are many. I can use a Qi charging pad for the phone, so Bluetooth would eliminate the "wiring" I have to do now when getting into the car.

Many of my entertainment options are now on my phone because between I <3 Radio and Pandora and a number of podcasts, I have plenty of entertainment. Trouble is, it's a Windows Phone - outstanding in all aspects and with a selection of apps that's just incredible. Sadly start-ups companies don't begin by servicing the W-platform. It takes them a while to catch up. Maybe by the time EM starts delivery the products will be available.

It's so small that you wouldn't notice the loss in rear speaker. My first mod will be to add a 10" subwoofer to fill the bass better. My wife is a 12v automotive audio/electronics specialist and she can't wait to get her hands on an Elio to take it apart and figure out the wiring for everything.
Will you rent her out for us non-electrical types to get help?

I struggle with the same concept with my wife. Would like just the base model of standard transmission and no cruise control but that leaves my wife out as a driver.

The more think about that concept, it might not be a bad idea. Don't tell her I said that !
Realistically, you and I don't have an option
