I was thinking about the wheels the other day and Porsche spare wheel came into mind. Maybe they would be lighter than a steel wheel? kind of a shame they wouldn't be visible they look good.

Any paint guru's here?
:)
I was wondering, I'm choosing the creamsicle for mine. Visability by others is always a concern and many ways of beeing seen have been covered here. However,
The question is, is it possible to do a candy coating over it and still keep the base color? Remember the days of candy apple red? Candy blue? Candy green?
Well, why not candy creamsicle??
Is that type of paint available for carbon body cars??? o_O

Candy colors are in the base coat. In order to have it you would have to have the whole car resprayed.

Thank you. I'd like to keep the base coat, but add a bit of shine to it. ;)

The answer is Yes! Personally, This is much better than getting it in primer. You can't hardly beat the factory paint as a good base for custom paint. You can use the orange as the base and spray a clear coat with pearl added. Orange pearl would look very subtle on overcast days but in the sunlight would come to life! or you could "go daring" with different color pearls, like purple or green. It would still look orange until the sun hits it, then WOW!
You should find a local shop and talk with the painter. He can give you better ideas of costs & what is possible.
