Please don't count me completely out. I'm still with you on this deal and am still holding your place at the table, should you ever venture into this neck of the woods. I just don't visit here as often, cause the disappointment is at times too over whelming.

Let's stay in touch and keep the faith!

I rather like being on here in the early morning hours as well.

We'll be there and remember we'll bring the beer!;)

Good hearing from ya!! I too drop in/out, right now in. Basically you/me have missed NOTHING.
Every EM event lights the boards, with strings of what "they" really were saying. I think the dash and gas filler have been so beaten that there are no longer any comments. What remains:
color
mpg
start date
accessories
modifications
travel plans
food and drink
jokes
and lack of $$$$$$$$$
you know, the same old stuff
Stay well

Good morning RUCRAYZE,

I totally agree with you! My mother would be 90 y/o now if she were still alive, and I do recall the early 60's and the "Soap Opera's" that she loved to watch on TV on summer afternoons; if She were to come back today and flip on the "set," I do believe that she could pick up right where she left off many long years ago. . . . . . . . . . :orange: This forum is exactly like that. Go away for what seems like years and the only thing that changes are some of the names. And like life itself. . . . , the "young kids" that are filling in behind us are all so full of "vim & vigor" and in their hearts, they think they are inventing something new. . . . , that they are asking and exploring new questions.

They're not.

We have been down every possible alley with this dream of Paul Elio, and if you've paid close attention to ALL the blogs and press releases of EM over the past few years. . . . . . The words and promises are really all just the same; the words, their order and punctuation have changed. NOTHING ELSE.

Much the same old, same old.

It's very amusing to see all the hype and read the fluf and excitement in the hearts of the newbie, youngsters on here.

It keeps me coming back. . . . . . At least, once every 6 months or so!!!! :p

Music Man and RUCRAYZE,

Hey old-timers, glad to hear from you both. Continue to join us when you want. Things have been a little slow and our cheerleader Zelio is watching over us. I do miss her. Still hoping to drive my Elio off the production floor and come visit you both. Be well.

Honestly Buckeyejake, I DO hope that you will come make that visit. No matter what the 3 of us are driving at he time.

More has happened on the soaps over the same time than on the EM Saga. I think that could be about to change when the P5's engine starts.

I can easily see how two blizzards in one week could get one's attention .. .. who knows, somewhere down the line an Elio might become an "and" car for you .. :bounce:
I don't think anything has been said about a maximum timeframe in which a reservationist would HAVE to place their order, once production actually starts. So, your money should be applicable if you should ever decide you also wanted an Elio!

Don't remember the exact order or time frame, but when EM reachs out to you to finalize your E order- color, extras, trans, fenders etc (which was to be about 2 months lead-in time)
you would have an opportunity to defer and move to the end of the line once.
I do know that ago, there was planning/discussion to fly-in to see your unit being built, take a test drive, close the deal and with EM trying to make arrangements with a local casino to comp us for a few days, then we would drive/tow your E home.
There was also discussion about selling your position, - a former moderator was looking to make a 1k all in purchase.

As I've mentioned before I wasn't going to wait forever for any car and I have ordered a 2016 Subaru Legacy with the premium package.. Does it get 84MPG? Nope it gets 36+MPG and that's a midsize 2.5 liter engine car with AWD and loaded with options.. Rides beautifully and handles well and rated 10 out of 10 for safety plus I added the Eyesight package.. For everyone here I wish you the best as I have officially forfeited my $100.00 all-in deposit and I have no regrets.. Good luck everyone especially Z :)
