Did not see that. I thought the GM plant stuff was settled, Nissan was not moving into the plant?

According to this they passed on the plant thus its still Elio's plant

Still, Commissioner Mike Thibodeaux said the Japanese company’s decision to pass on Caddo Parish is disappointing.

“Whether it was 3,500 or 4,500 (jobs), it would have a been a significant shot in the arm for this area,” he said.

Commissioner Stephanie Lynch believes the company was “very serious” about considering the plant and she’s uncertain why they pulled out. It could be a result of the complications the Elio Motors deal presented to buying the plant, she said.

The company would have needed to buy them out, Lynch said. Similar to Wilson, she believes the ball is back in Lichter’s court.

“Now that this thing is definitely off the table, we will see if something comes about from his plans,” Lynch said.

Escude said he spoke with Lichter and IRG and as of Wednesday the plant was under their control.

“Over time, it will develop and we will start seeing really good things,” he said.

Stephanie Lynch really has a hard on for screwing over Elio. I think when we all have our Elios we should all send her a post card with a giant FU on it.

Hold on to your hats. The Caddo Commissioners had a news conference yesterday where they announced that the "mystry buyer" had decided not to relocate in Shreveport. The commissioners would not name the company but did say it was NOT an automobile manufacturer. They also said the Toyota Headquarters move was strictly a Texas show and Shreveport was never involved. The Elio deal is still on the table and a portion of the plant will be leased to them when they are ready.

Seems that other company slowed Elio down Watch the video clears up alot.

Maybe that is where the confusion started. Elio has not been able to get to work inside. For months the parish has been in talks with a major company looking to move their headquarters, thousands of jobs, and high paying salaries in the plant. The plan would be to use the entire space.
That company, name unknown, decided it would cause too much business interference.
Wednesday April 30th, the deal was off the table.
