I've had over the years 5 different Taurus or Sables, and they were all good cars,my last being a 2002. I forget which one it was that I had a flat in and had to pull over on the side of the highway to change. Of course it had ,that piece of crap scissor jack ,but anyway I jacked it up, removed the tire, and like always pushed the tire under the car, then got up to get the spare . Well a tractor trailer goes flying by and blows the car off the jack. Always put the flat underneath the side of the car, that's what allows you to get the jack back under.
I said all that to say this, turbulence or wake of another large truck or bus seems like it would reek havoc when speeding by the E-car. With the weight and the large for the weight profile of our revolutionary car ,it's just something to think about that first time you get out there on the highway to see what she'll do. I can imagine that the first few years a passer byres will probably slow down to get a good look at it. I can't wait to get behind the wheel.

If you intend to be the guy on the highway going half the speed limit in the left lane this Might be an issue? If you however maintain traffic flow (no one blowing by you) at double speed this should not be an issue. If this was an issue there would be Thousands of motorcycles piled up on the side of the road!
I'll be going with the flow, but I've felt this this wake in a regular size car and think you probably have to . I'm just considering weight and side mass.

Most car tires today can run flat a good ways the tire may be trashed but different world we live in today. Look at how many cars you see driving around with a flat and driver does not even know it . Pointed two out last week to people.
Semis don't blow cars off the road. I have been riding motorcycles for 45 years never had one blow me over yet.

I saw a biker go down around Baker, CA a few years ago. Two semis involved on a windy evening. I stopped at the next rest stop and noticed a biker sitting on his bike like he was waiting for someone. I talked to him and told him what had happened. He took off to find his riding buddy. Never heard anything more about it.
