Joker did a great job on his review of the E1c. Excellent news that the Elgin dash is gone. No disrespect to Paul's father intended. And putting the fuel filler door on the driver's side, solved the only things I personally would have changed. The only thing I didn't see was where the standard cruise control was? I've been off this forum for awhile so it was good to see it still up and running. 4th quarter target of next year for production wasn't exactly what I wanted to hear, but at least it is still happening.

The CC is controlled on the turn signal stalk; very similar to GM style.

That's not my favorite style of CC, but it's not my least favorite either. Was hoping for more of the Ford Focus style CC where it's actually on the wheel like such:

Oh well. At least it's not the total sh*t style like Toyota CC or Chevy CC. Surprisingly though, now that I actually think about it, I'd probably rate the style they're going with as my second favorite style. (Toyota's is truly horrendous, and I hate Chevy's)

I like it on the steering wheel also.
That's the way my Fusion is.

I like the one on my Nitro

The Elio stalk controls Turn signals, Wipers and their speed (or delay), Hi beam/Lo beam and Cruise Control. As for being a favorite or not really didn't matter to me; included in the base price is all of the favorite I needed to hear.
The ON/OFF for the headlights is the button next to the ECO red button on the lower right

They mentioned earlier that there will be the option of paddle shifters on the steering wheel. I have not seen or heard anything more then that one mention about a month ago.

My all time favorite CC was the aftermarket unit from Area 451 that I installed in my 2008 smart. The driver interface used a single-button stalk that was a direct replacement to the factory wiper stalk. It maintained all the functions of the factory stalk while providing multiple cruise control functions through a single button at the end of the stalk (again, matching the factory stalk). A truly elegant and simple design.

And it was very easy to install.

Did you have to take the steering wheel off to install it?

Just to clarify, the Eco button puts the car into max gas saving mode and turning it off lets you paddle shift? (The Elio is gonna have paddle shifters?)

I LOVE mine :D

No, it "piggy backs" on the ECU through the harness....just moved a few pin connectors around to accommodate the CC module and swap out the original stalk... entire install took me about 45 minutes :)
