140K = 86 miles .... so long as you only need to travel 43 miles or less one way, it might be OK for getting around town or in a retirement community .... as noted repeatedly, the technology simply isn't there for most applications

I would not want to rely on the range staying constant. Cold temps will increase the series-R. Many charge/depletion cycles may reduce overall capacity. 86-mile range seems more like a conservative 25 or 30 miles each way.

No need to speculate. The range was actually tested and documented on the production Corbin Sparrows. ElectraMeccanica is upgrading the battery so I speculate a higher range with swappable battery options when the Solo hits the market. The Solo is not a concept vehicle, but rather a proven production vehicle that is having a serious body style facelift and some engineering upgrades.

Fans of this vehicle will not be waiting on E Builds. The high cost and long drawn out process of E builds and testing was done years ago by Corbin.

I think the Electrameccanica is deserving of its own thread.
I believe the prototype is to come in November with it being made in 2016.

Would work great for 95% of my driving. My "commute" is 16 miles one-way. My farthest trip "locally" would be to my granddaughter's and it's 32 miles :)
For longer trips, I will use my smart and Elio and occasionally the motor home :D
