I'd pay about $150 extra, but I too would not buy it from Elio. It would be a 3rd party accessory because I'll be damned if I'll reward Elio for putting shit gauges in to begin with.

I doubt the Elgin gauges are illegible. I need to see it in person to verify I like he Elgin Dash design, but certainly it has to be functional or it's useless. If you pass the DMV Driver's license exam and have a valid driver's license my hope is that you are able to see and read the Elgin dash. I could be wrong.

Although this discussion is endless- the reality can only be achieved sitting behind a production model in a production vehicle, and then make objective observations. Given that this is one of the "safer" threads i.e. love/hate, that there has been no deviation from EM on this specific item, the rest is the usual B.S., but without the conspiracy theories, scams, who said what, federal control of your wrenches, the best ribs, tire sizes, trailer hitches, etc,etc. Couple that with the our "survey" the size of a small congregation and almost 2/3 don't give a poop,

I will be looking at plugging a tuner into it and getting the information from that. The dash is not user friendly for driving.

Exactly how I feel. I would like to see it be optional. And perhaps people who pay extra for it, Paul can come out when you pick it out, and sign an autograph or something.

Paul Elio's dad had a watch much admired, the dash is dedicated to his pop's Elgin.
Of ALL the discussions, Paul will NOT be changing this item nor will his company be offering another as an option.
