It is good to know EM understands how the game is played, and has been playing to the best of their ability from the start. That said, they still have a long road ahead though the speed limit has been raised a bit recently. Here's to things continuing to speed up.

Once again, I am impressed with EM's (long term) approach to a specific challenge. I knew they had lobbyists on the payroll but thought it was a more recent development. I like too, that a portion of Black Swan's "compensation" is "based on results."
I continue to be impressed with Paul's decisions to use "the right people for the job".

Take a listen to the beginning of this video from Bloomberg, which is a reliable new source. It says the Saudi's invested a Billion dollars in Lucid for a luxury vehicle starting around $90,000.

And our government cannot even invest a much smaller amount in EM for something that will be useful to the everyday working person.

How did Lucid Motors get the Saudi's interested?

Has EM investigated Saudi funding? Obviously Saudi's are willing to invest in cars. The Lucid is a purely electric vehicle and Saudi has invest big time in it. The Elio is a pure petro vehicle, and Saudi Arabia wants to sell oil. If the Saudi's ever saw the Elio, they may be very interested in it. I wonder if Paul Elio has even tried. I believe since they are not "American", Paul Elio would rather let EM die before taking their money.

Top it off, on Monday, the county south of Elio Motors Global Headquarters just bought 80 acres of land for $800M and that's where Lucid is going to build their plant. Maybe Elio needs to talk to Pinal County and have them invest in Elio motors too. I wonder if Paul ever talked to them.

Lucid is bankrolled by a number of investors which include Americans, Chinese and Japanese. I think you are thinking about Faraday Future that was funded by a Chinese investor but seems to run out of money. Here's the Lucid press release about the Saudis:

Here's the deal with Pinal county. Again, would have been nice for that county to have talked to Elio Motors first, but my guess is that with the additional investment coming from the Saudis, that this allowed Pinal County to take a chance.
