If anything, the Elio would be rebranded and a different company started. That way they would not owe any Elio investors anything nor would they need to honor the original price. Unless the economy tanks, I don't see it happening.

My point was that there seems to be money for useless vanity projects but not for something that could help millions of people who need good, economical and reliable transportation. If $300M isn't enough then lets add the money it will cost to built the "arch".... another vanity project no one wants or needs.

Paul never could produce anything that was going to help anyone but himself. So, having the taxpayers give a failed businessman that has burned many in the past, to produce a vehicle that is outdated is a better idea? How about throwing that money to others that need it to just survive or maybe into carbon capture. Elio was just a way for Paul to hopefully get his idea to market even though he just was never close to getting it to production. Now we should give the guy that literally gave everyone here the middle finger, $300M? Paul is right now a multi millionaire, has admitted his business is a failure and lives like a king yet we need to give him all of this money?

I have a suggestion, give it to Vanderhall as they have a real plant, have a real dealer, warranty and parts base. They they have make three wheelers for 9 years. I bet they could make a new design that would be fully enclosed and not a high step up for the old timers that like three wheelers. Only thing is, they would need a government subsidy to make that $7450 Elio to make a profit.

Elio has an outdated design and prototypes that are destroyed. Plus he's onto other stuff. So nothing left of Elio except what is on paper.

Paul is free to come here and defend himself. Yet he never will and literally threw all of us under the bus. I'd love to hear from him buy we know he will never explain himself at all. Yet we still seem to have faith in the guy. This is literally the only place left that has his name on it and he has never come here to spend 5 minutes of his time. Instead, he just has moved onto his next project and admitted Elio Motors is a failure. He even let his website go to squatters and pulled all social media.
